Municipal festival poster unveilings

Overview

Since late June 2026, Spanish and Italian municipalities have been formalising committees, commissioning posters and publishing programmes for their annual patron‑saint and fair celebrations.

San Esteban de Gormaz opened a competition for its September poster on 29 June, while Alzira released a full programme for its mid‑July Sant Bernat festivities. Ciudad Real unveiled the Pandorga 2026 poster on 1 July with a month‑long programme. Italian towns progressed on 8 July: Paternò appointed a reduced‑size committee for its December Santa Barbara celebrations, and Barletta’s “Civitas Mariae” committee was urged to address citizen‑raised shortcomings.

Spanish towns continued to publish schedules, including Soto del Real (30 July‑4 August), Almagro (25‑26 July) and Puente la Reina (24‑29 July). On 15 July Elda, Elche, Murcia and Cádiz each unveiled official festival posters, followed by Málaga and Hellín on 21 July. Barcelona’s Mercè 2026 and Gandia’s Fira i Festes 2026 posters were reiterated on 30 July. On 3 August Ciudad Real announced Laura Espinar Sánchez as pregonera for its August fair, and San Roque presented its Feria Real 2026 poster.

New additions include Argamasilla de Calatrava, which selected María Jesús Muñoz Muñoz’s “La Bienvenida” as its patron‑saint poster for the September celebrations, and San Sebastián de La Solana, which released a detailed August schedule featuring nightly Masses, a foam‑party for children and a DJ‑driven evening programme.

These coordinated efforts underscore a regional emphasis on visual identity, structured committees and comprehensive programming to promote cultural heritage and attract visitors throughout the summer and early‑autumn festival season.
