Civil Engineering Collection 2026 to be held in Shinjuku

The Japan Society of Civil Engineers will host the 15th Civil Engineering Collection from November 19 to 21, 2026, at the Shinjuku Station West Exit Plaza. The event features five specialized zones designed to showcase the history, current technology, and future of civil engineering.

Exhibits include construction machinery such as electric micro-shovels, research into lunar construction technology for space exploration, and updates on the Shuto Expressway renewal projects. Additionally, the event will highlight the Maglev Chuo Shinkansen national project and urban development initiatives centered around the Takanawa Gateway City in the Shinagawa area.

The exhibition is free to the public and includes an opening ceremony on the first day. A concurrent event, the Tokyo Bridge and Civil Engineering Exhibition, will also take place, featuring lectures on bridge history and engineering.
