Civitanova Marche clothing store fire under arson investigation

An investigation is underway following a suspected arson attack at the Scalasedici clothing store in Civitanova Marche. The fire broke out around 7:15 AM on Via Conchiglia, causing extensive damage to the interior of the shop.

Investigators believe the fire was intentional, noting a hole in a corner of the storefront and a bottle cap found on the ground, which may be linked to a Molotov cocktail. Firefighters from the Macerata command managed to contain the blaze within an hour, preventing it from spreading further, though smoke heavily impacted an adjacent business.

No injuries or intoxications were reported. Authorities are currently reviewing local surveillance footage to reconstruct the events.
