Arson attack on clothing store in Vittoria

Overview

In Vittoria, Sicily, two men—aged 39 and 45—were arrested following an arson attack on the ‘Serpy’ clothing store. Investigations by the Carabinieri determined that the suspects used a Fiat Panda to approach the shop and placed an incendiary device at the entrance.

The resulting explosion destroyed the storefront and glass windows. Following an investigation that utilized surveillance footage to identify the vehicle and suspects, a judge issued a precautionary detention order. The individuals were subsequently transferred to the Ragusa prison.
