CJ 4DPLEX and Pathé Cinémas to expand SCREENX in Europe
CJ 4DPLEX and Pathé Cinémas have announced a new agreement to expand the presence of SCREENX immersive cinema auditoriums in Europe. The partnership will introduce four new locations across France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
The rollout includes two locations in Belgium, one in France, and one in the Netherlands, all of which are expected to be operational by the end of 2026. This expansion builds upon a long-standing relationship between the two companies, which previously included the introduction of 4DX technology and the 2018 launch of SCREENX at Pathé La Villette in Paris.
SCREENX is a premium cinema format that utilizes a 270-degree panoramic display, extending the visual field beyond the front screen onto the side walls of the auditorium to create an immersive viewing experience.
