Claro Colombia restores infrastructure following earthquake
Claro Colombia is working to restore telecommunications infrastructure and services in regions affected by a recent earthquake. The company reported that approximately 80% of its base stations and nearly 100% of fiber nodes in Chocó, Caldas, Quindío, Risaralda, and Valle del Cauca are now operational.
To support recovery efforts, the company has deployed 26 power plants to Quibdó, Pereira, and Cali. Additionally, Claro has provided approximately two million prepaid customers with a free seven-day package including unlimited calls, text messages, and 2 GB of data to facilitate communication in the impacted departments.
