The car, stored since around 2007, was cleaned, its engine restarted, and put on the market for roughly $18,000; a buyer later offered $17,500.

Separately, a 1968 Chevrolet Corvette C3 equipped with the L79 327 V8, 32,770 original miles and a Muncie M22 four‑speed transmission has been listed on eBay from Columbus, Ohio. Priced at $10,000, the project car includes original manuals, receipts and memorabilia but is not road‑ready and will need to be trailer‑ed. Both stories illustrate a growing niche market for rediscovered classic Corvettes in the United States.
