Claudiu Năsui resigns from Romanian Parliament

Claudiu Năsui, a deputy from the USR party, has resigned from the Romanian Parliament. The resignation follows his appointment as the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization in the Government of the Republic of Moldova.

Năsui cited a state of incompatibility in his resignation letter to the Chamber of Deputies, noting that his new ministerial role in Moldova necessitated the relinquishment of his parliamentary mandate. He had previously taken his oath of office in Moldova on August 28.

Mihai-Alexandru Badea, a lawyer from the Bucharest Bar and a former USR deputy, has been designated by the USR party to replace Năsui in the Romanian Chamber of Deputies for the Bucharest constituency.
