Claudiu Năsui transition from Romanian Parliament to Moldovn

Overview

Claudiu Năsui, the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization in the Republic of Moldova, announced his intention to resign from the Romanian Parliament following the passage of the ‘Savings and Investment Accounts’ bill. Năsui, who assumed his Moldovan ministerial role on August 28, stated he delayed his departure to support the legislative reform intended to strengthen capital markets.

Năsui has since officially resigned from the Romanian Chamber of Deputies, citing a “state of incompatibility” between his parliamentary mandate and his ministerial position in Moldova. The USR party has designated lawyer Mihai-Alexandru Badea to replace him in the Bucharest constituency.
