CleanMax raises $575 million to fund 1 GW of solar and wind projects in India

CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions secured a $575 million multi‑lender financing package to develop roughly 1 GW of solar and wind capacity across Rajasthan and Karnataka. The deal combines external commercial borrowings, foreign‑currency non‑resident bank facilities and INR‑denominated loans from a mix of global and domestic banks, including Societe Generale, BNP Paribas, HSBC, Credit Agricole and Indian public‑sector lenders.

Dollar‑denominated loans are backed by power purchase agreements priced in dollars, while rupee loans align with rupee‑based contracts, keeping overall financing costs below 6 %. The funding will expand CleanMax’s portfolio, which already totals 5.7 GW and serves 588 corporate customers, with data‑centre and AI users accounting for about 42 % of its renewable‑energy sales.
