Cleveland Guardians defeat Detroit Tigers as Jose Ramirez powers win

The Cleveland Guardians extended their recent winning streak by beating the Detroit Tigers 8-2 at Detroit's home field. Jose Ramirez contributed a two‑run double and a solo homer, finishing with two RBIs and a home run, while the Guardians tallied eight runs on the night.

Cleveland starter Slade Cecconi limited Detroit to two runs and four hits over 7 ⅓ innings, allowing just one walk. Detroit’s Framber Valdez, who had previously won his last five starts against Cleveland, surrendered four runs in five innings. The Tigers’ offense was further hampered by a delayed start due to inclement weather.

Key hits also came from Chase DeLauter and Rhys Hoskins, each driving in two runs, and Brayan Rocchio, who scored three times. For Detroit, Riley Greene recorded two hits, including an RBI double, and Matt Vierling added a solo homer. The Guardians have now won six of their last seven games, while the Tigers have lost 11 of their last 13.
