Climate crisis protests in Jakarta and environmental film screenings in Bali
In Jakarta, Greenpeace Indonesia activists displayed giant banners at the Bundaran HI landmark to criticize the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. The protest highlighted the intersection of the climate crisis and the rising cost of living, urging the government to take concrete action against ecological disasters that impact citizens' purchasing power.
Greenpeace released a research report titled “Besok Harga Naik! Gambaran Dampak Krisis Iklim dari Tempat Kerja, Meja Makan, dan Rumah,” which examines how climate change acts as an economic crisis by affecting food prices and household stability in regions including Jabodetabekjur, the Bandung Basin, and Kartamantul.
In Bali, the Lensa Iklim Bali program held its premiere screening during the 2026 Bali Climate Week People's Festival. Five short films—Memanen Matahari, Viewfinder, Satu Pemberhentian Lagi, Dapur Laut, and Berlayar—were showcased to translate complex environmental issues into human-centric stories, focusing on coastal life and local environmental challenges.
