Călin Georgescu conducts regional visits in Romania

Former presidential candidate Călin Georgescu has been conducting regional visits in Romania, focusing on his “water-food-energy” platform. During a visit to Arad county, Georgescu met with merchants at the Pâncota market and held discussions with prominent farmer Dimitrie Muscă in Curtici. Georgescu emphasized the need for better water management to combat drought and protect the domestic agricultural economy.

Reports indicate that Georgescu’s recent activities in Olt county have been supported by Florin Ciobanu, president of the Association of Young Farmers in Olt. Ciobanu, who has since joined the AUR party, was previously identified as having close political and institutional ties to the Social Democratic Party (PSD) in Olt. This connection has drawn scrutiny regarding the nature of the support provided for Georgescu’s regional appearances.
