Călin Georgescu's villa faces scrutiny amid criminal investigation

The villa of former presidential candidate Călin Georgescu in Mogoșoaia has come under scrutiny following investigations by DIICOT. Prosecutors are investigating Georgescu in a case involving the formation of an organized criminal group and fraud, with estimated damages exceeding 1.1 million euros.

Real estate expert Eduard Uzunov estimated the property, including the land and construction, to be worth approximately 500,000 euros. However, Uzunov noted that the notoriety of the former owner could impact the ease of sale, as the reputation of a public figure can influence buyer perception and market interest.
