Clinical Center of Montenegro suspends breast diagnostics
The Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG) has announced a temporary suspension of services at its Breast Disease Diagnostics Department starting Thursday, August 27. The pause is due to the relocation of medical equipment to a new facility.
Services affected by this move include mammographies, expert ultrasounds with core biopsies, and the Breast Disease Diagnostics Consortium. The center expects the interruption to last approximately 20 days while equipment is installed in the new space. KCCG stated that all patients with scheduled appointments during this period will be contacted to undergo their planned diagnostics as soon as possible.
The relocation is part of a larger project to facilitate the construction of a new facility for the Hematology Clinic and the PET/CT center at the site of the old Oncology building. To accommodate these changes, the department is moving to a reconstructed facility in Petrović Park, formerly used by the Infectious Diseases Clinic. Once the transition is complete, the department will function as the National Breast Center.
