Medical service developments in Montenegro and Serbia

Medical facilities in Montenegro and Serbia are undergoing various expansions and structural transitions.

In Montenegro, Tesla Medical has introduced a schedule of visiting specialists covering fields such as endocrinology, gastroenterology, and vascular surgery, alongside hyperbaric medicine services. However, the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG) announced a temporary suspension of its Breast Disease Diagnostics Department starting August 27. This pause, expected to last approximately 20 days, is necessary to relocate equipment to a reconstructed facility in Petrović Park. This move is intended to facilitate the construction of a new Hematology Clinic and PET/CT center, eventually allowing the relocated department to function as the National Breast Center.

In Serbia, the University Clinical Center Niš has launched a new day hospital for interventional radiology. This facility is designed to provide rapid diagnosis and treatment for conditions like strokes and thrombosis for approximately 2.5 million people in southern Serbia. A day hospital for digestive surgery is also slated to open in the near future.
