Cloud strategies shift toward hybrid models and digital sovereignty

Organizations are increasingly shifting their cloud strategies toward hybrid models to manage growing complexity. Research indicates that 82% of companies in the EMEA region are considering moving workloads from public clouds to private clouds, with 46% having already completed such transitions.

This shift is driven by the need for greater agility, resilience, and cost control. To manage this, many enterprises are moving away from legacy infrastructures and siloed IT teams in favor of platform models. These models utilize dedicated groups that provide shared services, tools, and standards to support multiple product teams.

Furthermore, the concept of digital sovereignty is gaining prominence due to geopolitical tensions and evolving regulations. In Europe, the focus is expanding beyond simple data localization. True sovereignty now requires architectural control to ensure operational continuity and technological autonomy, moving beyond merely storing data within specific geographic borders.
