Club Italia strengthens Messina squad with youngsters Caterina Peroni and Veronica Quero
Club Italia announced the addition of two 2007‑born Italian volleyball talents to its Messina lineup. Outside hitter Caterina Peroni, a Brescia native who spent four seasons in the national federation project, recorded 22 appearances and 75 points last season before joining the club. She has featured for Italy’s Under‑22 national team and will compete at the European U22 Championships in The Hague from 7‑12 July.
Middle blocker Veronica Quero, a 191 cm player from Treviso, joined Club Italia after two seasons in the federation’s Serie B1 and A2 tiers. In her most recent campaign she tallied 26 matches and 190 points, earning a call‑up to the Italian U22 squad for the same European tournament. Both signings are presented as part of Club Italia’s strategy to blend experienced stars with emerging talent.
