Cluj County and City launch cultural benefits for large families

The Cluj County Council and the Municipality of Cluj‑Napoca have approved a joint programme aimed at families with three or more children. Initiated by vice‑president of the County Council Radu Rațiu and supported by Council President Alin Tișe, the scheme provides free or heavily subsidised access to cultural, educational, sporting and transport services.

Beneficiaries receive free entry for children and a 50 % ticket discount for parents at venues such as the Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania, the Puck Theatre, the Transylvania State Philharmonic, the Octavian Goga Library, the Cluj Art Museum, the Tradiţii Clujene cultural centre and Bánffy Castle. Additional perks include a 25 % discount for minors at the Tudor Jarda School of Arts and a 50 % reduction on a public‑transport subscription for one parent on two lines.

The programme is intended to ease the financial burden on large families and promote equal access to cultural and educational opportunities across the county.
