Cluj-Napoca Metropolitan Beltway: Six bids received for Lot 5

Six bids have been submitted for Lot 5 of the Cluj-Napoca Metropolitan Beltway, according to Mayor Emil Boc. The contract, which covers the design and execution of a 3.1-kilometer section between the Sopor and Selgros nodes, has an estimated value of approximately 488.6 million lei, excluding VAT.

This specific segment is part of the TransRegio Feleac TR35 road. The evaluation process will consider technical quality, price, renewable energy solutions for public lighting, and rainwater management. The project is expected to last 48 months, with 17 months allocated for design and 31 months for construction.

With the submission of these bids, major lots of the strategic infrastructure project now have bidders. Only Lot 6 remains in the bidding phase, with a deadline of September 21. Lot 1 of the beltway has already been completed.
