CM Revanth Reddy unveils eco‑city and Gandhi Sarovar plans in Hyderabad

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said his government is working to transform Hyderabad into an eco‑friendly city. He highlighted the revival of storm‑water drains, the legal recovery of forest land and the launch of a tree‑planting drive at the Gurramguda Eco Park during a Van Mahotsav ceremony. The chief minister also inaugurated development works in the reserve forest worth 17.84 crore rupees and announced virtual openings of several urban‑park and wildlife‑conservation projects across the state.

Reddy met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to thank him for clearing the way for the Gandhi Sarovar project on the Musi River. The defence ministry approved the conversion of Bapu Ghat into a world‑class cultural and educational complex, permitting the transfer of 98.20 acre of defence land. The project is part of a broader Musi River revitalisation effort intended to create a vibrant ecological and heritage site.
