Câmara de Lobos receives major regional investments in housing and infrastructure

During the municipal anniversary celebrations in Câmara de Lobos, regional authorities announced significant public investments and social program achievements. The Regional Government has invested approximately 43 million euros in the construction of 212 homes in the municipality since 2024, with an additional 25 units expected to be delivered soon.

Other major investments include 12.5 million euros for sports infrastructure, 20 million euros for accessibility and road connections, and over 50 million euros for water, sanitation, and hydraulic infrastructure. The agricultural sector has also seen support, with 17 million euros approved for various projects through PRODERAM.

In the health sector, the Health Administration Institute reported that more than 3,100 residents have benefited from health programs over the last seven years. These include the ‘Kit Bebé’ program, the ‘+Visão’ initiative, and the ‘+Sorriso’ program, making Câmara de Lobos the second municipality outside of Funchal with the highest number of beneficiaries in the region.
