CME Group launches single‑stock futures for over 50 major U.S. companies
CME Group announced the launch of single‑stock futures on 77 contracts covering more than 50 leading U.S. companies, including Apple, Nvidia, Tesla, Amazon and Alphabet. The contracts are cash‑settled, trade on CME Globex for roughly 23‑24 hours a day, five days a week, and follow a quarterly expiration schedule. The rollout includes 55 standard contracts (each representing 100 shares) and 22 micro contracts (10 shares each).
NinjaTrader Group said the new CME contracts are now live on its platform for eligible users, giving active traders a futures‑based way to gain exposure to individual stocks without owning the shares or managing options Greeks. The firm highlighted the products’ capital efficiency and near‑continuous trading as a way to react to earnings, macro data and geopolitical events.
CME’s Global Head of Equities, FX and Alternative Products Tim McCourt said the offering responds to demand for finer equity‑price risk management and aims to broaden the exchange’s user base beyond institutional clients.
