CME Group single‑stock futures rollout

In early July 2026 CME Group announced plans to introduce futures contracts tied to individual U.S. equities, initially highlighting contracts for Tesla and SpaceX slated for launch on July 27. By late July, the exchange had expanded the offering, rolling out 77 single‑stock futures covering more than 50 major U.S. companies such as Apple, Nvidia, Amazon and Alphabet. The contracts are cash‑settled, trade on CME Globex nearly around the clock on weekdays, and follow a quarterly expiration schedule. CME provides both standard contracts (representing 100 shares) and micro contracts (10 shares). The launch was quickly adopted by platforms like NinjaTrader, which made the products available to eligible traders, emphasizing their capital efficiency and ability to respond swiftly to earnings, macro data and geopolitical events. CME’s Global Head of Equities, FX and Alternative Products described the suite as a response to demand for finer equity‑price risk management and a way to broaden the exchange’s user base beyond traditional institutional clients.
