CNAIR remediates technical issues on TollRo platform

CNAIR has announced technical remediations following the launch of the TollRo electronic road pricing platform on October 1, 2026. Technical teams have addressed issues regarding card payments in coordination with the processor EuPlătesc, increased system capacity to handle high traffic volumes, and improved the delivery rate of account confirmation emails.

In the first 12 hours of operation, the platform recorded approximately 4 million visits, 50,000 registered users, and 170,000 vehicles. During this period, over 45,000 route tickets were issued, 60,000 payments were processed, and 13,000 electronic wallet top-ups were completed. Approximately 90% of transactions occurred via the TollRo portal and applications.

While several issues have been resolved, technical teams continue to monitor communication with external services, including RAR and DGPCI, to ensure proper vehicle verification and tariff product issuance. Ongoing work also includes analyzing map data errors and traffic restrictions that have impacted route calculations. CNAIR stated that users affected by technical malfunctions will not face sanctions, though the obligation to pay remains in effect.
