Vietnam stock market sees major share divestments and bank dividend payouts
The Vietnamese stock market is seeing significant activity involving major divestments, dividend distributions, and capital raising plans.
NovaGroup has registered to sell 2 million shares of Novaland (NVL) between June 27 and July 12 to balance its investment portfolio and support debt restructuring. This follows a trend of decreasing ownership by stakeholders related to Novaland's chairman.
In the technology sector, Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of CNCTech (CLI), earned approximately 108 billion VND after selling 4 million CLI shares. Meanwhile, Capital Securities (CapitalSC) has approved an IPO plan to issue up to 12 million shares to increase its charter capital to 420 billion VND.
In the banking sector, Vietbank is set to issue over 296 million shares to existing shareholders to raise 2,961 billion VND, intended for lending to individual and corporate clients. Other major banks, including MB, BIDV, VIB, and MSB, are also processing dividend payments through share issuances or cash distributions.
