CNJ launches automated system to monitor judicial delays

The National Council of Justice (CNJ) has established a new national system to automatically identify judicial processes that have remained without a decision for more than 120 days. Known as the National Judiciary Audit System (Sinapjud), the tool was instituted by Provision 254/2026.

Rather than relying on periodic inspections, the National Corregedoria will use automated audits powered by procedural data sent by courts via the DataLake/Codex national database. The implementation will begin with pilot courts and is expected to take approximately 180 days before expanding nationwide. This initiative aims to address judicial delays, as CNJ data from June showed that pending processes lasted an average of 1,263 days.
