Coahuila leads Mexico in autoparts production with $8.3 billion value
Coahuila remains the national leader in autoparts production in Mexico, according to a report from the Industria Nacional de Autopartes (INA) covering January to May 2026. The state accounts for 15.7 percent of the country's total production, valued at 8.305 billion dollars.
Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas noted that these results demonstrate the strength of the automotive industry in the region and foster confidence for future investment and job creation. The Northern Zone continues to be the primary production hub for the country, contributing 44.1 percent of the national total.
In addition to industrial growth, Coahuila is focusing on security and public services. In Saltillo, Mayor Javier Díaz González has implemented measures to strengthen local safety, including the donation of a mobile command post, a patrol unit, and 20 PTZ cameras to the Derramadero valley. The local government also recently recognized the service of the Saltillo Fire Department during the 2026 Tláloc Award ceremony.
