Coahuila search initiative locates missing man in Piedras Negras prison

During a search initiative titled ‘Jornada de Búsqueda en Vida’, a man previously reported missing was located at the Piedras Negras Penitentiary in Coahuila. His family, originally from Chihuahua, was able to establish contact after the discovery.

The search effort, organized by the collective ‘Juntos en Acción por Nuestros Desaparecidos en la Región Centro de Coahuila’, involves approximately 100 participants visiting prisons, rehabilitation centers, and various municipalities. In Monclova, the initiative identified three potential matches after inmates recognized individuals in photographs, as well as three inmates whose families reportedly do not know their whereabouts.

Additional information regarding five other missing persons was obtained at two rehabilitation centers. The search is scheduled to continue in municipalities such as Sabinas and San Buenaventura, with potential extensions to Cuatro Ciénegas.
