Coahuila search operations and hospital identification locate missing persons

Recent search operations and medical admissions in Coahuila, Mexico, have led to the location of two individuals previously reported as missing.

During a National Search Day organized between September 21 and October 1, a young man from Tamaulipas was located alive at the Piedras Negras Penitentiary Center. The search initiative, which included the Coahuila Search Commission and the Universidad Iberoamericana Human Rights Program, documented 31 potential positive cases. The operation involved visiting prisons, rehabilitation centers, and migrant shelters across several cities, including Monclova and Ciudad Acuña.

In a separate incident, a woman identified as Yadira Sarahí Rivas del Bosque was located at the Saltillo General Hospital. Rivas del Bosque, who had been missing since November 2013 at the age of 14, was identified by hospital staff after entering her data into the system while seeking treatment for a suspected substance intoxication. The hospital notified the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for the Search of Missing Persons in Coahuila to formalize the identification.
