Coastal cleanup initiatives organized across Chile

Various environmental cleanup initiatives are taking place across Chile to promote coastal conservation. In the Atacama and Coquimbo regions, Compañía Minera del Pacífico (CMP) participated in cleaning efforts at Playa Mansa in Caldera, the beach in Huasco, and El Faro in La Serena. These activities were organized by the Directorate General of the Maritime Territory and Merchant Marine (DIRECTEMAR) in collaboration with the NGO Ocean Conservancy as part of the International Coastal Cleanup program.

Additionally, in Hualpén, the Directorate of Environment and Ecotourism has called for a community cleanup at Playa Ramuntcho. This local initiative encourages residents to participate in preserving natural spaces and fostering environmental care within the commune.
