Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles discuss WWE creative etiquette

Wrestlers Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles recently discussed professional etiquette and creative processes during an appearance on the “What Do You Want To Talk About?” podcast. Rhodes criticized certain outdated wrestling traditions, such as the use of old slang like “New York” or “The Fed” to refer to WWE, calling them misconstrued customs. He also expressed disagreement with the notion that a firm handshake is an indicator of a rigid wrestling style.

Regarding creative direction, AJ Styles argued that talent should not complain about storylines unless they can provide a superior alternative. He stated that while a storyline may not be perfect, it is the performer's job to execute the writer's vision. Rhodes agreed, noting the importance of picking battles and focusing on larger issues rather than minor creative disagreements.

Separately, NXT wrestler Shiloh Hill spoke on “Busted Open After Dark” about his career goals, expressing a desire to win championship gold to represent his progress in the industry.
