Coffee Fairs Launch in Lima and Valparaíso This August

The MegaPlaza shopping centre in Lima, Peru, will host the first edition of the "Café, Chocolate & Bienestar" fair from August 6‑9. Organized by Corporación Multiferias, the free‑entry event will feature more than 40 coffee and cacao producers from regions such as Cusco, Junín and the Central Jungle, offering specialty coffees, fine‑aroma chocolates, workshops on brewing methods, sensory tastings and live musical tributes.

In Valparaíso, Chile, officials are preparing for the 8th Feria Cafeyna, scheduled for August 15‑16 at the Terminal de Pasajeros de Valparaíso. The mayor, Camila Nieto, and regional councilors attended the launch, which highlighted participation by the Cooperativa Umanga Kape from Rapa Nui and barista Reinaldo Cortés. The fair will include tastings, exhibitions, talks, and competitions such as Duo Espresso & Shaker and Arte Latte, aiming to showcase the city’s coffee culture and boost local tourism and entrepreneurship.
