Coffee market trends show price variations and discounts in Germany
Recent reports highlight shifting dynamics in coffee costs and availability within the German market. Several Lavazza coffee varieties are currently being offered at a discounted price of 13.99 euros per kilogram at retailers such as Rossmann and Amazon. These whole-bean options are noted for their suitability for automatic coffee machines and various brewing methods, including espresso and milk-based coffees.
In a separate study conducted by coffee retailer Coffee Friend, the cost of prepared coffee drinks across German cities was analyzed. The study, which examined 1,232 cafes in ten major cities, found that the average price for an espresso is 2.58 euros, a cappuccino is 3.80 euros, and a latte macchiato is 4.33 euros. Regional price variations were significant, with Cologne recording the lowest average espresso prices at 2.44 euros, while Bremen recorded the highest at 2.78 euros.
