Webull Canada expands crypto services through Coinbase partnership

Webull Canada is expanding its service offerings to include cryptocurrency trading through an infrastructure partnership with Coinbase. Using Coinbase’s Crypto-as-a-Service (CaaS) platform, Webull will provide customers with access to digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, while Coinbase manages the underlying trading, liquidity, and institutional-grade custody.

This expansion follows similar collaborations between the two companies in the United States, Brazil, and Australia. The move responds to rising interest in digital assets within Canada; according to Ontario Securities Commission research, crypto ownership among investors rose to 25% in 2026, up from 10% in 2023.

Webull Canada is regulated as an investment dealer by the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO). However, the companies noted that cryptocurrency holdings do not receive protection from the Canadian Investor Protection Fund (CIPF).
