CoinShares launches stablecoin yield strategies and $40M share repurchase program
CoinShares has introduced managed stablecoin yield strategies for enterprise users of Safe smart accounts. This integration allows users to allocate stablecoins to CoinShares-designed strategies without transferring custody of their assets to a third party. The strategy utilizes Railnet, an orchestration layer from Paris-based Kiln, to connect onchain and offchain yield sources. Access is currently limited to Safe’s enterprise users, which reportedly includes entities such as the Ethereum Foundation and Circle.
Separately, the CoinShares Board of Directors has approved a $40 million share repurchase program. The program will be funded using existing digital asset treasury resources. To prepare for this, the company recently sold 16.6 million Ethereum and 50% of its 2.7 million Solana holdings. The Board indicated that repurchasing shares is a more attractive use of capital than retaining digital asset holdings given current valuation levels. The repurchase program is authorized until the company’s next Annual General Meeting, expected in Q2 2027.
