Coldenham Firehouse Fire Destroys Apparatus in Hudson Valley
In the early hours of Tuesday, a fire broke out at the Coldenham Firehouse in the Town of Montgomery, Hudson Valley. The blaze, reported to Orange County 911 at approximately 3:14 a.m., engulfed the garage bays and severely damaged the building.
The fire destroyed multiple fire apparatus stored inside and injured five firefighters who entered the structure trying to salvage equipment. Fire Chief Matthew Hunt said the department is "beyond heartbroken" over the loss of its home and gear.
