Colima Governor addresses ASF audit observations

Colima Governor Indira Vizcaíno Silva addressed recent reports regarding observations made by the Superior Auditor of the Federation (ASF) concerning 25 million pesos within the State Government's Secretariat of Education.

Vizcaíno Silva clarified that the audit covered a sample of more than 11 billion pesos in federal resources, meaning the flagged amount represents only 0.29% of the total audited budget. She stated that the observations are related to documentation that will be resolved.

The disputed funds fall into two main categories: school supervision and inspections, where auditors could not physically locate supervisors in their offices, and payments made to the heirs of deceased education workers. The Governor noted that the state will provide logs and schedules to prove supervisors were conducting field inspections at the time. She also explained that the payments to heirs involve earned salaries, proportional bonuses, and union benefits.
