Collegiate athletes receive weekly conference honors
Several collegiate athletes have received weekly conference honors across various sports.
In the USA South Conference, Brevard College players Janie Steele and Abby Nunez earned the first weekly accolades of the 2026-27 season. Steele was named Player of the Week after scoring the winning goal in a 1-0 victory against Piedmont, while Nunez was recognized as Defender of the Week for recording a shutout in the same match.
In the Missouri Valley Conference, Evansville defender Brielle LaBerge was named Player of the Week. LaBerge scored two goals, including a 30-yard shot, to lead the Aces to a 2-0 win over Austin Peay.
