Collegiate weekly conference honors
Overview
Collegiate athletes across various conferences have been receiving weekly honors as the 2026-27 season progresses. Early accolades in September included Brevard College players Janie Steele and Abby Nunez in the USA South Conference, and Evansville defender Brielle LaBerge in the Missouri Valley Conference. In the Atlantic Coast Conference, University of North Carolina field hockey players Sofia Ferri and Merritt Skubisz swept weekly honors.
During the same period, the Great American Conference (GAC) recognized Emma Young and Kinsey Geasland of Southwestern Oklahoma State University, while Western Kentucky University’s Abby Wiedermann and Mia Riddick earned honors in Conference USA.
By mid-October, honors expanded into the Big Ten, where Alanah Clemente (Oregon) and Harper Murray (Nebraska) were named Co-Players of the Week, alongside Nebraska teammates Bergan Reilly and Mania Ogbechie. Other notable recipients included Ayden Ames (Creighton) in the BIG EAST, Jules Colchico (Sacramento State) in the Big West, and Teagan Jaynes (Montana State) in the Big Sky.
In soccer, Detroit Mercy goalkeeper Colin Monroe was named the Under Armour #HLMSOC Defensive Player of the Week. Within the GAC, Fort Hays State players Kuan-Yi Li and Payton Roehrich also received weekly recognition for their defensive and goalkeeping contributions.
