Collegiate athletics update: Soccer draw and swim results

In collegiate soccer, the Illinois Wesleyan University women's team played to a 2-2 draw against No. 16 North Central College in their College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin opener. Taylor Haun scored the first goal for the Titans via a header, and Liza Wiley later regained the lead with a shot from outside the box. North Central eventually equalized to end the match in a deadlock, leaving Illinois Wesleyan with a 4-0-5 record.

In collegiate swimming, the Indiana Wesleyan University men's and women's teams began their season at the 14th Annual Dr. Dillery Fall Frenzy Invitational hosted by Lindsey Wilson. The women's team took the lead in the standings with 347 points, highlighted by Emma Bledsoe winning the 200 IM and a victory in the 200 Free Relay. The men's team currently sits in fourth place with 169 points.
