Collegiate cross country teams compete in UCR and Saint Mary's meets

Collegiate cross country teams from Cal State Fullerton and UCLA recently competed in invitational meets.

At the UCR Invite, the Cal State Fullerton women’s team secured second place in the 6k race with 152 points, featuring five personal bests. Barbora Svobodova led the team with a 14th-place finish. The men’s team finished 12th in the 8k race with 320 points, led by Matthew Kubler in 20th place.

At the Saint Mary’s Invitational, the UCLA women’s squad finished fifth in the 6K race, totaling 140 points. Freshman Gretchen Yakaitis placed fourth overall with a time of 20:38.5. The UCLA men’s team placed seventh in the 8K race, with Yosef Berhan leading the group in 17th place.
