Collegiate cross country invitational competitions

Overview

Collegiate cross country teams participated in several invitational meets, including the Saint Mary’s Invitational in Concord, California, and the UCR Invite.

At the Saint Mary’s Invitational, Chico State won the meet, while Elle Marsyla of UC San Diego secured the individual title. Santa Clara University’s women’s team finished 11th, led by Aliyah Yearian, while San Diego State University’s Aztecs saw freshman Skylar Watts finish 13th. UCLA also competed at Saint Mary’s, with their women’s squad placing fifth and their men’s team placing seventh.

At the UCR Invite, the Cal State Fullerton women’s team earned second place in the 6k race, led by Barbora Svobodova, while their men’s team finished 12th in the 8k race.
