Collegiate soccer teams UTRGV and UTSA secure first season victories

In collegiate soccer action, the UTRGV Vaqueros women's team secured their first win of the season with a 4-0 victory over the Prairie View A&M Panthers. This marked the first NCAA Division I win for head coach Nataki Stewart. Isabella Burtin led the offensive effort with two goals and one assist, while Sienna Gillespie and Erika Parker also scored for the Vaqueros.

Separately, the UTSA soccer team earned its first win of the 2026 season by defeating Colorado College. UTSA maintained an undefeated record following the match, which featured goals from Sadie Paul and Ava Jackson. The Roadrunners controlled much of the possession and secured a clean sheet, with Jasmine Kessler recording a save late in the game.
