UTRGV women's soccer defeats Tarleton State 1-0

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) women's soccer team secured a 1-0 road victory against the Tarleton State Texans in Stephenville, Texas. The decisive goal was scored in the 50th minute by senior Libby Pole, following an assist from junior Isabella Burtini.

UTRGV goalkeeper Mariana Amezcua recorded a career-high eight saves to earn her first clean sheet as a Vaquero, successfully defending against a Tarleton squad that outshot UTRGV 19-5. Despite the Texans' offensive pressure and a significant advantage in corner kicks, the Vaqueros' defense maintained the shutout to secure the win.
