Collins Foods reports 6.6% sales growth in FY27 update

Collins Foods, a KFC franchisee, reported a 6.6% increase in total sales for the first 17 weeks of FY27 on a constant-currency basis. The company is seeing sustained momentum in Australia and a recovery in European markets.

In Australia, KFC total sales rose 6.4%, with same-store sales increasing by 3.4%. To drive further growth, the company is rolling out the ‘Kwench’ beverage platform nationally, extending late-night trading hours, and initiating breakfast trials at select Gold Coast restaurants in September.

European performance showed significant variation. Germany recorded 44% total sales growth over the 17-week period following the addition of eight Munich restaurants, though same-store sales initially declined before showing signs of stabilization in the most recent four weeks. In the Netherlands, recent trading has improved, with a newly launched Halal-certified product range yielding “extremely positive” early results.
