Police Operations Detain Hundreds Across Mexico, Chile and Argentina

In Guerrero, Mexico, state police coordinated with federal, state and municipal forces to detain four people, seize 13 doses of crystal, 35 marijuana bags, a long gun, ammunition and a stolen motorcycle and vehicle. In Lago Ranco, Chile, Carabineros arrested a man with more than 40 criminal cases, confiscating a 9 mm revolver, a .32 pistol, assorted ammunition and manufactured marijuana. The municipality of Colón, Argentina, used its monitoring centre to seize several motorcycles for traffic violations. In Bahía de Banderas, Mexico, municipal security officials detained four individuals, including three who were transferred to the prosecutor’s office for serious charges. Tlaxcala, Mexico, inaugurated its 52nd municipal Control and Command Center, expanding real‑time video surveillance across all 60 municipalities. In Cancún, Mexico, a joint federal‑state‑municipal operation captured four suspects, a firearm, narcotics and two motorcycles while investigating a recent homicide. In Coihueco, Chile, four suspects received preventive detention for an 18‑day kidnapping linked to drug trafficking. Finally, Carabineros in Viña del Mar, Chile, arrested a man with 89 police records, most for theft. These coordinated law‑enforcement actions across the three countries resulted in multiple arrests, significant drug and weapon seizures, and the rollout of new security infrastructure.
