Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo qualifies for CAF Champions League group stage
Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo has secured a historic qualification for the CAF Champions League group stage after defeating Senegal’s Teungueth FC. Following a 2-0 victory in the first leg, the Cameroonian side won the return match 1-0 in Yaoundé on October 25, 2026, resulting in a 3-0 aggregate score.
This marks the first time the club has reached the group stage of Africa’s premier club competition. The qualification ensures Cameroonian representation on the continent, with the last local club to reach this level being Coton Sport during the 2022-2023 season. The group stage draw is scheduled to take place on October 28 in Cairo, Egypt.
Teungueth FC coach Malick Daf attributed the elimination to individual errors and a lack of competitive rhythm, noting that the Senegalese league had only recently resumed after a four-month hiatus.
