Colombia announces Davis Cup squad for Netherlands series

Colombia has announced its tennis squad for the Davis Cup World Group I series against the Netherlands, scheduled for September 18 and 19, 2026. The team will be led by Nicolás Mejía, currently ranked 115th in the ATP standings.

Captain Alejandro Falla has selected a roster focused on future transitions, including new names such as Samuel Heredia, who is receiving his first national call-up. The squad also features Nicolás Barrientos, Miguel Tobón, and Johan Alexander Rodríguez. Notably, Daniel Galán is absent from the lineup due to ongoing differences with the Colombian Tennis Federation.

The competition will take place at the Maaspoort Den Bosch sports complex in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. A victory would allow Colombia to play in the 2027 qualifiers, while a loss would result in playing in the play-offs that same year.
