Violence reported in Colombia and Chile as multiple homicides trigger investigations
Multiple violent incidents have been reported across Colombia and Chile. In Barranquilla, Colombia, a triple homicide occurred in the Las Nieves neighborhood park. Authorities believe the attack, which left three young men dead and one person injured, was a vendetta involving criminal groups ‘Los Diablitos de la 21’ and ‘El Freseo’. Police have apprehended two adults and one minor in connection with the shooting.
In Chile, separate homicide investigations are underway. In Coquimbo, a 35-year-old man was shot multiple times inside a residence in the Punta Mira sector; investigators are currently searching for the suspects who fled in a vehicle. Meanwhile, in Conchalí, police and prosecutors are investigating the death of an unidentified man on a public street following a reported dispute.
